Applewood Lane Alpacas and Bluff Breeze Farm Alpacas, Inc. are hosting this Alpaca educational and fun-filled weekend event for alpaca breeders and the public at the historic Lodge at Leathem Smith in Door County. In addition to a free weekend filled with Suri and Huacaya Alpacas, Family Fun, Arts and Crafts, we are offering two educational Seminars by long-time breeders: Alpaca Judge David and Brenda Barboza. They started ACE, Alpaca Continuing Education, providing cutting edge education for the Alpaca breeder. 

David's Class   $95  "Building a successful Alpaca Breeding program using Herd Assessment and Evaluation" In this full-day course breeders will learn to use an assessment program to score their herd. Hands-on practice refine the skills to evaluate Alpacas (whether Suri or Huacaya) and score them using a proven system providing quantifiable results. 

Brenda's Class $95  "Wet Felting hands-on NuNo  Silk Scarf Project"  In this full-day class, you will acquire skills to complete a beautiful and unique silk/chiffon scarf using "wet felting" techniques. At the end of the day, you will take home a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art for yourself or a special friend.  

If you are an Alpaca breeder or fiber enthusiast, this is perfect for you.  It's a vacation and education all rolled up in one!  Bring the family and enjoy Father's Day and the beginning of Summer at "the Door".
