Once again, the Suri Network was fortunate to have Karen Champion as our AOA Judge for the Spin-Off, Fiber Arts, and Skeins competitions. The Spin-Off Results are available using the link below. The Fiber Arts and Skein results are provided below with some of their photos. Judge Karen Champion commented, "I was very impressed by how well most of the older animals that were entered were maintaining their fleece quality. And how clean overall the entries were!" SPIN OFF RESULTS HERE | CONGRATULATIONS TO Spin Off: BKNARD Beau’s Kamira, from the Suri Light 2 year and older Class at age 103 months! Owned by Beth Lee and Fred Cripe of D’Lux Meadow Alpacas Judge Karen Champion said, "Maintaining fineness and all the other desirable uniformity traits, was prepared well, and practically spun itself!" Skeins: Hand Spun 50% Suri / 50% Yak skein . Entry submitted by Beth Lee and Fred Cripe of D'Lux Meadow Alpacas. Judge exclaimed, “Very soft! Beautifully lustrous”! Fiber Arts: Indigo Fawn Scarf felted by Laurel Shouvlin of Bluebird Hills Farm. Judge stated, "An absolutely stunning presentation of fawn alpaca felted and dyed with indigo. The felting was beautifully done, the dyeing is outstanding. Just a beautiful piece!" |
